Arabic Calligraphy
The jQuery team knows all about cross-browser issues, and they have written this knowledge into the jQuery library. jQuery will run exactly the same in all major browsers, including Internet Explorer 6
Overview
One of the most universally aesthetically appealing elements of the Arabic language is its calligraphy. The Arabic alphabet is one of the oldest in the world and to the Western student it can offer a whole new system of ancient letters and meaning. The study of calligraphy is important in Arabic as the language dictates certain letters and sounds that must be inferred from certain other letters.
The Arabic language developed and spread alongside Islam. In the absence of sacred images, the language developed a mystical artistic quality throughout the ages and today is pursued as a modern art form.
At MCAS we take Arabic calligraphy seriously and it is important to us that our students leave with knowledge and experience of this beautiful alphabet and use it to further their interest and knowledge in Arabic.
